Great Blue Heron Up Close

Here’s a bird I have seen before as they are quite common although I haven’t had one come quite as close as this before. This bird was apparently feeding pretty close to shore and something spooked it and it flew into the Pine Tree right below where I was shooting the Osprey.

Flock Of Cedar Waxwings At Lake Houston

Yet another new bird for me, or rather a flock of birds.  These are Cedar Waxwings. I saw this flock when I was taking pictures of the American Kestrel.  They were pretty far away (these shots are heavily cropped), but still pretty cool to see a whole flock of them.
