Even though Maggie is 8 years old, when it comes to water she thinks she’s still a…  Sometimes when we’re out in the backyard pulling weeds, feeding the fish, or simply not paying attention to what we should be, the dogs decide it would be a good time for a swim. This is particularly true for Maggie, our Golden Retriever. If she had a choice, she’d probably choose to just live in… Well not really, but I realize I haven’t posted much this week. I’ve been getting home a little later than normal, then we’ve actually had some rain (yea!) a few nights as well. I’m going to try the early morning Saturday ritual and get some pictures. It’s supposed to be really hot and humid tomorrow… It’s only fair if I have to wear a silly looking hat, that somebody in the house should also have to be humiliated. Here’s Maggie (Golden Retriever) wearing my hat. She didn’t even seem to notice because she was chewing on a bone. Just an interesting article I came across today. It talks about the recent data gathered by Stanley Coren (he’s published a bunch of books about dogs) that shows that even the average dog has the mental capabilities of a 2 year old child. The top 7 “smartest” dogs are below. No wonder I always have… Maggie (and Sascha) have to follow me every where I go when I am taking pictures. Since Maggie stopped right in front of me, I took a shot at her beautiful face. Maggie is 7 years old, and chews bones daily so her teeth are normally very white. She’s known as the always happy dog… Some dogs have a really tough life. Take for example, Sascha and Maggie. These poor gals have it really rough. Both of them are on the “Barf Diet” or Raw Food Diet (you can Google the terms if you are interested). How’s this for a dog’s life? Food Fresh ground turkey (from the grocery store)… This is Maggie our Golden Retriever. Over the years she’s had to put up with quite a bit from Halloween Costumes, Christmas card photos, enduring Coco our African Grey Parrot, and then Sascha, our big bully of a German Shepherd.
