In truth, Sascha seems to like the kitty as well. However, I wonder what Sascha must be thinking? “Why’s this kitten playing with my ear?” Why am I in the crate when the…  It hasn’t taken very long for Delilah (the kitten) to bond with Maggie (the Golden Retriever) and Sascha (the German Shepherd). Sascha seems to be the most bonded with Delilah as she follows her everywhere and licks her at every opportunity. On the other hand, Maggie, being true to her character, doesn’t seem to care…  Good news for Delilah yesterday. She got the “all clear” from the vet regarding her respiratory infection. She and Chloe get along great, as well as her and the dogs. In fact, her favorite playmate (other than Chloe) seems to be Sascha, my German Shepherd. We also got her a new toy today. I think…  It’s getting close to that time where I can’t control when Maggie will decide to get in the pool. Today was a perfect example. Maggie slowly waddles over to the edge of the pool and gently glides in the water. That’s not Maggie’s favorite pool activity however. What she really likes to do is to…  I don’t think Maggie was feeling too well tonight. Her stitches seemed to be bothering her. When she was laying on the couch I noticed that she was bleeding around her stitches on her front shoulder. She didn’t actually tear the stitches, but she did appear to scratch herself up pretty good. I cleaned her…  The vet called late last night to tell me how the surgery on Maggie went. Basically the one place on her back was definitely just a fatty deposit and no big deal (other than the big incision she has). The other “thing” on her shoulder blade was more of a concern. He couldn’t determine what… I’m still pretty sad about Madison not being around anymore. Maybe this is typical in any death. When I go upstairs I still expect to see Madison give me a meow greeting I think Chloe is curious to where that other cat went to hide. It’s hard to image Maggie is 8 years old now. She still acts like a 6 month old puppy when it comes to getting attention from me. If I am on the couch, she likes to jump up, turn upside down, and just lay there for hours. Of course I have to constantly pet her,…  Leecy and I were taking advantage of the sunshine by changing out the cages for the Polydamas Caterpillars. However, as usual, if you don’t pay attention to the dogs, especially Maggie, they will end up in the pool. Even though Maggie is 8 years old, when it comes to water she thinks she’s still a…  Sometimes when we’re out in the backyard pulling weeds, feeding the fish, or simply not paying attention to what we should be, the dogs decide it would be a good time for a swim. This is particularly true for Maggie, our Golden Retriever. If she had a choice, she’d probably choose to just live in… |
