Gray Hairstreak Missing Tail On Cilantro

It took me a while to identify this Butterfly because it’s missing its tail.  It’s a Gray Hairstreak Butterfly, and it was getting nectar from our seeding Cilantro. The plant growing in front of the Cilantro are Sugar Peas.

Butterflies Were Everywhere Today

Holy Cow!  Today there were Butterflies everywhere in the backyard.  We had a Monarch, Question Mark, Variegated Fritillary, Giant Swallowtail, Gray Hairstreak, Eastern Black Swallowtail, some type of Crescent Butterfly, and a Pipevine Swallowtail.
