I finally captured a new video of a Monarch emerging from its Chrysalis.
Also, for what it’s worth, I’m doing a little experimenting with the video player on my blog. I’m trying to make the videos accessible to iPads and iPhones (and other non-Flash devices).
To use the new video player click on the “Play” arrow. Once the video starts playing, you can click on the diagonal triangles in the bottom right hand corner to view the video in full screen mode. Hit the “Esc” key on your computer to exit full screen mode.
This video is about 4 minutes long. It shows the Monarch emerging from the Chrysalis in real time, I have not sped up, or slowed down the actual process. I did have to stop the video after about 4.5 minutes as I knew it would become so large it would take forever to load for folks with slower connections. Let me know if you have any problems viewing this video.

Leslie - Wow! I can’t wait for the munchkin to wake up so I can show him. Thanks for making it ipad playable too, I hardly ever turn on my old laptop since I got this ipad but the flashplayer thing is a wee bit of annoying.April 18, 2011 – 7:21 am
