I work up early today since the weather forecast predicted nothing but sunshine. I also wanted at least one good day to use this rented 300mm f2.8 lens.
I really love this lens. Perhaps it’s just me, but it appears so much sharper than my 100-400.

Now I feel like I am in a real dilemma. I have to return the 300mm lens tomorrow (Monday). I’m very appreciative of all my camera equipment as none of it has been cheap and it has given me hours of enjoyment. My dilemma is how do I now go back to my 100-400 without feeling disappointed? Should I just buy a new 300mm lens and charge it, or wait until…my tax refund or something?
I’m really torn.
