Happy Holidays 2010

Hello everyone.  Hope everyone had a nice Christmas or whatever holiday you may celebrate.

Leecy and I went to Walmart and got some stuff for folks at a Senior Assistance Living Facility in Kingwood (our bike idea for the neighborhood kids didn’t work out).

I’ve been renting a Canon 300mm f2.8 from LensRentals.com (awesome place, I highly recommend them).  I love this lens!  The weather has been terrible (although not near as bad as almost everywhere else in the U.S.), but this lens is so much sharper than my 100-400.

I think this is the lens I’m going to buy very soon.  If I do buy this lens, I’ll probably end up selling my 100-400.  Also if I do get the 300mm, I’m going to need a new tripod, so this upcoming year could end up being a little expensive.

I also am thinking about my New Years resolutions in relation to this blog and my photography.  I’ll post something about that a bit later.

Although the weather has been terrible, I did take some time to sit in my one man chair blind this afternoon and got a picture of a Tufted Titmouse.  I’ve seen this bird in the backyard before, but never have been able to get a picture.
