Picked Loofah And Seeds

We picked some Loofah this weekend.  I guess it’s kind of a neat thing.  It’s certainly interesting how fibrous these plants are.

Leecy said she may sell the seeds (she bought the seeds from someone on one of her crafting sites about a year ago).  I have no idea what she plans on doing with the actual Loofahs.

If you’re interested in the process we used to get to the Loofah and seeds, here’s what we did:

  1. Bang Loofah on the ground to loosen the skin.
  2. Create a seam, then peel the Loofah.
  3. Wash off the Loofah and extract the seeds
  4. Hang Loofah on hangers and allow to dry
