Winning The War With The Skunks, Possums, And Raccoons

I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed with this Contech Scarecrow Motion Activated Sprinkler.  For the last 3 days, since I received this product, the Skunks, Raccoons, and Possum have all tried to return to continue their feeding below the Bird Feeders.  Problem is, “Stella” the Scarecrow Sprinkler is scaring them away with bursts of water.

So far, this product is awesome! Leecy and I actually sat outside 2 nights ago and watched a Raccoon slowly approach along the fence.  It crawled down from the fence, then “wack, wack, wack” Stella detected the motion and started spraying the water.  That Raccoon was startled, and shot up and over the fence like a rocket.

Same thing happened with the Skunks.  They slowly were walking under one of the Bird Feeders, Stella detected the motion, started spraying, and the Skunks ran as fast as they could.

All that being said, this week might be challenging.  Because we are expecting so much rain this week from the Tropical Storm down in Southern Texas, I’m not activating Stella as I would think the rain will be setting the thing off every couple of seconds.  We’ll have to see how it goes.
