The Lizard King

This is the “Lizard King”, so named because he guards this area with a vengeance.  He’s on this pole more days than not, and each time I first see him he always does that red expanded throat thing.

Notice how long his tail is?  There’s not another Lizard (I know it’s an Anole) in our garden that is as big as this guy and has as long of a tail.  In fact, most of the other Lizards in the garden are missing parts of their tail.

Here he is with his eyes momentarily closed.  For those that have asked, that sign in the background (Leecy bought it) says,

“A Soul Blooms Best In The Garden.”
