White Winged Doves Are Taking Over

I bet there are close to 10 White Winged Doves coming to the feeder every day now.  I’m having to fill the feeders twice per day they are eating so much (well them and all the other birds).

I’ve got 4 feeders around the yard so everyone is able to find enough to eat, but they sure can crowd a feeder.

Oh yea, something else.  I noticed yesterday that these birds and the Cardinals fly over to my Blueberry and Grape plants and were eating the fruit that fell on the ground.  If that’s all they do then I’m okay with that, but if they start picking them off the plant, I may have to devise something so I can save a little of the fruit.

Ana Goncalves - It’s wonderful that you have the opportunity to feed passing wildlife and there seems to be an array of birds dropping by your garden, which is great as the biodiversity of the area is rich. Those white winged doves are beautiful. I think I just found out what type of camera you use, as I have noticed your tag ‘Canon 7D’. Is this a DSL or a regular digital camera? I’m glad I followed you back to your blog!June 9, 2010 – 1:05 pm

Coleen Franks - Alyce. such lovely photography. I love birds and butterflies especially and am doing a bird altered book myself right now. Nice work. Gonna find your follow button and then go see what else you have to take a look at. Maybe you could follow on mine too: http://vintageterrace2.blogspot.com/June 9, 2010 – 11:59 am
