Ever Seen An American Five-Lined Skink?



Well here’s one.  They sure are colorful little critters, but extremely shy.

From what I read, this a is mature Skink, as evidenced by the bright red around the head.  Supposedly their bright colors fade with age.

I’ve seen this one hanging around since early Spring.
