New Northern Cardinal With Eggs

When I was out today taking pictures of Monarchs, I noticed a new nest in another section of my bamboo. Since neither of the parents were around I thought I would peek in the nest. Inside the nest were 2 brown speckled eggs.

I then started hearing mama Bird in the background so I thought I should stop my interruption.

After momma bird left again I worked on trying to place my BirdCam in a safe place near the nest. I didn’t quite get finished before the mama bird came back around so I quit for the night.

I’ll work on completing the setup tomorrow.
