Houston Paper Writes Article About Monarch Decline

The Houston Chronicle did an article about the predicament of the Monarchs.  I’ve been writing about this for the last few weeks so it’s nice to see that our local major newspaper has shown some interest as well.

Actually they did two articles today.  Here’s another from the same paper http://blogs.chron.com/sciguy/archives/2010/03/monarch_butterfly_population_may_drop_50_percent_t.html.

While I’m at it, Honeybees are also showing a serious decline and I’m seeing a seriously small number in my backyard right now as compared to previous years.  One of the main culprits has been the cold weather in addition to the normal factors such as disease, pesticides, etc.
