The Mock Orange Bush Lakeview Jasmine is still in full bloom and shortly after sunset the Hummingbird Moths arrived in large numbers. Only a few problems. I don’t really know how to take photographs in low light situations, these Hummingbird Moths move as fast as lightning, and I don’t have a great lens for taking action shots in low light. All that being said, I did manage to take a couple of shots.
I’ve only seen these Hummingbird Moths once before and that was in the Spring, and again, they moved so fast that I never did have a clear idea what they look like. Here’s what I’ve learned after tonight. They have huge eyes, they don’t mind buzzing right by your head, and they don’t like being captured.

This next shot was done after Leecy managed to capture one of the Moths with the Butterfly net.
