To simply say I’m on vacation this week so I’m posting a little slower than usual. I do have quite a few pictures to post and I’ll do my best to post them tomorrow.
Oh, and the weather here (for those reading that are not in the Houston area) is horrendous. The “official” heat index the last couple of days has been 113-114 degrees and it really does feel incredibly hot. We even have a temperature gauge on our backyard deck and that pegged out at 120 degrees (no joke).
What am I doing for vacation (or “staycation” as Leecy calls it since we’re not going anywhere)? Glad you asked. I’m simply trying not to work for a week and relax a bit. I bought a few more books (1 novel, 1 photography book, 1 frogs and toads book, and 1 Adobe Lightroom book) that I am hoping to get through by the end of the week. I also may take a few short road trips with my camera and see what I can capture.
The good news? No snake sightings!
One last thing. I noticed that this blog now has over 1000 hits so I wanted to say thanks to all those who are interested enough in the pictures and/or what I have to say! It does motivate me to try and take better pictures and post interesting information. I truly am appreciative of those who find this blog somewhat interesting in one way or another.
